Multi piece panel incized cut and reassembled finished with tin glaze
This is a multi piece ceramic panel by Sarah McCormack . Inspired by Cornish Tin mines in the Tamar Valley. Working from a slab the design is incized and pressed into the clay , then cut and dried , fired and then glazed with oxides under Tin oxide Glaze. After another firing the pieces are mouted into a custom made wooden frame.
The ceramic part of the panel is approximately 48 x 30 cms and the frame is 3.5 cms wide total size 55cm x 37cms
